This course will be led by Chris Hammacott. Chris has spent the past 29 years designing, teaching and working with textiles, specialising in patchwork and quilting. Chris is also a prolific writer on the subject, producing regular content for some of the leading magazines and publications in the industry.
Through her distance-learning courses, Chris has over 800 students worldwide, and in 2009 she gained national recognition for her talent, when she was awarded the Welsh Craft and Design tutor of the year.
The Weekend
Join us to make a patchwork quilt or hanging, which will be inspired by the landscape of Tenby. The first morning will include a tour of Tenby with lots of opportunity to take photographs that will be transferred to fabric. An easy technique, that can perfectly capture the town’s beauty. With its ancient buildings, views, the sea and the shore – Tenby provides the perfect inspiration for your project, which will become a treasured memento of a great holiday experience.
This is just one of the beautiful pieces of work created by Chris Hammacott.
